Nashville wire products is a world class supplier of wire products; primarily serving the OEM parts indus   try. Nashville wire specializes in the design and fabrication of welded wire products which can largely be found in home appliances, wire mesh shelving & retail displays.

Challenge: 

Nashville Wire was facing multiple quality issues and applied cost issues with their former supplier. Due to a lack of resolution, Nashville Wire sought an alternative supplier to meet their needs.

• Determine the customer's working parameters & likes/dislikes related to the former coating supplier
• Frankfort, KY Plant-Quality Defects: Dried drips on bottom wire of decks & edge pull
• Frankfort, KY Plant- Struggling to reach equal applied cost to Nashville Plant
• Nashville, TN Plant- Quality Defects: Poor coating appearance on parts related to foam build-up in the dip tanks

Solutions: 

Jamestown Coating Technologies developed a coating that would provide better over all finish quality and improve the applied cost. Ongoing techincal assistance ensured resolution to any application issues. 

• To design a coating that comliments the customers' existing parameters & yields a superior end product
• Upgraded the resin system used to elevate the de-foaming properties, improve the edge pull, eliminate the dried drips, & furnish superior salt spray & humidity resistance; which improved the finish quality on parts produced at both plants
• Produced a coating with a higher drink value, yielding a viable reduced viscosity; which proved integral in lowering the applied cost for the two facilities
• Provided continuous on-site technical support to discern & correct any application difficulties
